About PaedsMentor

Built for focused MRCPCH preparation.
Designed to help you think.

PaedsMentor was created to fill a straightforward gap: paediatric trainees needed a large, well-structured MCQ resource that reflects the real exam — without unnecessary complexity. We believe reasoning is more durable than memorisation, and everything here is built around that idea.

What We Cover

The question bank covers all three MRCPCH theory papers — Foundations of Practice (FOP), Theory and Science (TAS), and Applied Knowledge in Practice (AKP) — structured around the 26 official RCPCH system categories.

The questions are written and reviewed by UK-trained paediatricians with direct experience of MRCPCH exams and familiarity with current guidelines.

Every question tests applied understanding rather than rote recall. The aim is not familiarity with question stems — it is a trainee who thinks clearly when it counts.

Who This Is For
Paediatric trainees preparing for FOP, TAS, or AKP
International doctors sitting the MRCPCH
Doctors resitting one or more papers
Anyone who learns best through active, question-based revision

Whether you are starting early or fine-tuning before a sitting, the focus here is on efficient, exam-relevant practice at every stage.

Our Approach

Clarity over volume

High-yield questions that help you identify gaps quickly, not an overwhelming bank padded for its own sake.

Practice over passivity

Active revision builds durable knowledge. Reading notes is not the same as answering questions under pressure.

Reasoning over recall

Every explanation focuses on the why — the key clue, the decision step, the bias to avoid. We write in a calm, ward-round tone.
