1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on Paediatric Mentor, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the platform. You also confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and are a medical professional, medical student, or postgraduate trainee.

2. Educational Use & Clinical Disclaimer

Purpose: The content provided on Paediatric Mentor is intended strictly for educational purposes to support preparation for the MRCPCH theory examinations (FOP, TAS, and AKP).

No Medical Advice: The materials provided, including MCQs, rationales, and clinical vignettes, do not constitute medical advice, clinical guidance, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations.

No Clinical Reliance: Users must not apply the information provided on this platform directly to the management of real patients. Use departmental, national or international consensus guidelines along with clinical discretion for patient management.

Professional Relationship: Use of this website does not create any formal professional relationship, including doctor-patient, trainee-trainer, or supervisory relationships.

Clinical Responsibility: Paediatric Mentor and its contributors accept no responsibility for clinical decisions or medical errors made by users in their professional practice.

3. Intellectual Property & Prohibited Use

Ownership: The entire content of this platform—including the 9,800+ MCQs, detailed explanations, clinical vignettes, and site architecture—is the exclusive property of Paediatric Mentor and is protected by UK and international copyright laws.

Restrictions: Users are strictly prohibited from copying, reproducing, or “scraping” content for use in other databases.

Social Sharing: Sharing question bank content on social media, messaging apps, or public forums is strictly forbidden.

4. Subscription & Access Control

Individual Use: Subscription access is granted strictly for individual use. Sharing account credentials will result in immediate termination of access without a refund.

Monitoring: We reserve the right to monitor account activity for signs of multiple-user access or automated data harvesting.

Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

Free Access Tier

A selection of questions is available free of charge without a subscription. Free-tier content may be changed, reduced, or removed at any time without notice. Free access does not create any entitlement to continued access or to any specific volume of content.

5. Payments, Digital Access & Refunds

Payment Processing: All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service.

Immediate Access: Access to the digital question bank is provided immediately upon successful payment.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via the account settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access until that date. No partial refunds are given for unused time within a billing period.

Refund Policy: Due to the nature of digital products, we generally do not offer refunds once the service has been accessed.

Technical Issues: Discretionary refunds may be considered only in exceptional circumstances where a technical failure prevents access to the service.

Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Existing subscribers will be not be affected.

6. Account Deletion

You may request deletion of your account at any time via the account settings page or by contacting us at admin@paediatricmentor.com. Upon deletion:

  • All personal data and performance records will be permanently removed within 30 days.
  • Payment transaction records will be retained for 6 years as required by UK tax law (HMRC).
  • Any active subscription will be cancelled immediately. No refund is issued for remaining time in the current billing period.

This action is irreversible. Deleted data cannot be recovered.

If your account has been inactive (no login) for 12 consecutive months, we will delete your account and data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Accuracy of Content & Use of AI

Rapid Evolution: While every effort is made to align content with the MRCPCH curriculum, users acknowledge that medical knowledge evolves rapidly and should cross-check information against current national guidelines.

Reporting Errors: If you identify any inaccuracy, including incorrect answers, outdated guidelines, spelling errors, or unclear explanations, please report it by clicking the "Flag an Issue" button on the relevant question. All flagged content will be reviewed and corrections made where appropriate. We value user feedback as an important part of maintaining content quality.

AI Integration: This platform utilises advanced AI technology to support editorial processes, including text refinement, data cleaning, and maintaining consistency across content. Final clinical review and oversight remain with practising UK clinicians.

8. Limitation of Liability & Governing Law

Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paediatric Mentor accepts no liability for examination outcomes, professional consequences, or loss of income arising from the use of the platform.

Service Availability: We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the platform. Scheduled maintenance and occasional downtime may occur.

Jurisdiction: These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

9. Examination Disclaimer

Independent Resource: Paediatric Mentor is an independent revision resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or approved by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) or the NHS.

Trademarks: MRCPCH and RCPCH are registered trademarks of their respective owners.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
